for 15743 john thomas hardwick

10th bat gloucestershire reg killed loo's 13th oct 1915 aged 19

seems to have a brother named after the battle william loo's hardwick ????

I suggest that you take a look at the guidance on The Long Long Trail.   http://www.longlongtrail.co.uk/soldiers/    This will give you advice on how to start your research. Your local library service will be able to provide you with free access to Ancestry or FindMyPast  or possibly both.

 

If you have exhausted these, then come back with details of whaere you have searched to save mmebers from duplicating your own research.

Born in Hartlebury, Worcestershire. Remembered on the Loos memorial, I'm not sure whether he was one of the men left out of the September 25th attack owing to an outbreak of mumps.

Hi Trevor and all

John Thomas Hardwick, soldiers' effects father John W, 1911 census John William Hardwick , wife Ellen Jane Hardwick, eldest of 5 children as at 1911. Birth Cert 6c, 214, Kidderminster, Worcestershire. Here he is....aged 18 yrs just before he was called up.

Photos of his parents and 2 siblings on public tree Ancestry. William Loos Hardwick was born 28.2.1917, Stourport, died Nov, 1987.
