A small point: the man who started the movement was Calvin, not ...an.  They may do otherwise in Wales.

Thanks, just a typo.  I copied the name from COFLEIN but it wa capitalised so I retyped which is when I made the mistake.

The denomination is nowadays called the Presbyterian Church of Wales (as distinct from the Anglican Church in Wales). 

 

Lionel F.S.Sotheby on the memorial has a whole book to himself, as his letters and diaries survived - Donald C.Richter (Ed.) Lionel Sotheby's Great War (Ohio University Press, 1997).  He was a junior officer of the Argylls attached to Black Watch, and was killed at Loos 1915.
