Gareth Davies Posted 12 May , 2019 Share Posted 12 May , 2019 Where should I be looking for a good account of 1st Cav Div's actions in May 1915, plus where can I find decent maps of those actions? I guess Anglesey has something to say as will the OH. But can you think of any other places I should be looking? My specific interest is the 15H and 19H. MaureenE Posted 13 May , 2019 Share Posted 13 May , 2019 The Light Dragoons Regimental Association has a (free) download History of the 15th The King's Hussars 1914-1922 http://www.lightdragoons.org.uk/downloads.html Cheers Maureen

Steven Broomfield Posted 13 May , 2019 Share Posted 13 May , 2019 19th Hussars didn'tproduce a history, sadly. Lumley (of course) covers it well in the 11H history and I'm pretty sure the Bays and 5th DG do, too. I would also be confirdent in recommending the 18th Hussars and 9th Lancers histories (4DG's is a bit thin). Obviously all of those are from different Brigades but were there. Maps in most are not great (11th is good, as you'd expect). My only problem is that my (ahem) 'Extensive Library' is a little inacessible at present due to an impending redecoration event. Sorry.
