WW1 Aerial Bomb Fins?

Recommended Posts

NorthStaffsPOW

Hello everyone. I have acquired these fins today and my best guess is that they are possibly from a WW1 era aerial bomb. The brass section is threaded so clearly it screwed onto the back of the bomb. The middle section in which the striker is housed slides forward so the bomb must have detonated from the back. I have seen that some Hales bombs worked like this, but I have not found a specific match yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
