mbriscoe Posted 7 May , 2019 Share Posted 7 May , 2019 (edited) There was originally a memorial gate and archway at the front of the church but it was move to a rear side entrance around (very approximately) 1970. I was very confused, the NGR on the IWM WMR was very wrong and could not see a gate at the front of the church. There is lych gate across the road so thought it might be that then saw an obelisk with cross on top but that is 19th Century! Full set of images on FLICKR. Maurice B. Peel. Born 28th Decbr. 1878. Married 29th July 1909. Died 24th March 1912. Also of George Henry Alington 4th and youngest son of Julius and Catherine M. Alington.
