Good Evening

Could anyone tell me if there was any Ox and Buck's Battalion involved in any of the fighting during 1916 battles near Le Transloy or the area of 57c.N.22.c.9.8 near Beaulencourt and Gueudecourt road. I know that the 2nd Battalion passed through that area on the 24/03/1918 during the German Spring Offensive. You advice could help me with some research that I an doing on an unknown Ox and Bucks Officer who was found at the map location mentioned earlier.

Kind Regards

Andy

On the 7th October 1916 the 6th OXBLI were ordered to attack their 1st objective (RAINBOW TRENCH) N28a 1.4 to N28c11/2.11/2. Later the advance from the 1st German line to the 2nd  was to a point about N22c8.2 to N28b7.1( Map 57cSW2) Extracts from the War Diary of the 6th found in the 20th Division Various Infantry Brigades 60th Brigade Ancestry War Diary search.
