Neil Mackenzie Posted 4 May , 2019 Share Posted 4 May , 2019 Does anyone have any suggestions on where to eat in V-B on a Sunday lunchtime. One vegetarian in the party will probably rule out the Turkish Kebab place. Many thanks Neil
Ken Lees Posted 5 May , 2019 Share Posted 5 May , 2019 There is the Victoria restaurant on the corner of the main road (D1029) at the turn-off towards the Australian National Memorial, but I haven't eaten in there for years. I am in V-B a few times a week, but never eat there. Always over to Albert, or back into Amiens.
Frajohn Posted 5 May , 2019 Share Posted 5 May , 2019 Neil Le Victoria is closed on a Sunday. La Table d' Agathe is in Corbie and is good for lunch on Sunday, it is worth making a reservation. Kind regards John
nigelcave Posted 5 May , 2019 Share Posted 5 May , 2019 There is a good looking restaurant in Lihons (plenty of parking outside; run by Claude, who used to have the Poppy in La Boisselle); full of locals for lunch when I called in; I have not eaten there. A bit of a trek but not all that far from VB. Question is, is it open for Sunday lunch: I suspect yes. But definitely a pre-book if a large (i.e. more than say 6?) party. Sly Posted 7 May , 2019 Share Posted 7 May , 2019 (edited) Hi, The new John Monash centre has a café with a selection of food, salads, sandwiches and "ficelle picarde". There's not a great choice but it's open 7 days a week from 9h30 to 17h30. I have never eaten there but had many coffees with Aude... who has left yesterday Sly Edited 7 May , 2019 by Sly
