British Soldier Serving in Ireland

Hi all,

Just wondering whether anyone can tell me something about my great-grandad who served in Ireland during WW1. His name was George Moss, born 1894 in Oldbury, Worcestershire.

His regimental numbers are as follows:

1st Worcestershire Regiment, Service Number 8615

Labour Corps, Service Number 311775

Royal Defence Corps, Service Number 81793

I know he left France on 28 August 1916 and must have served in Ireland sometime after. He was discharged from the army on 8 May 1919 after having his finger shot off over there.

Thank you :)

Without knowing which unit he was with it's going to be very difficult to figure out where he was and what he was doing.

For reference there have been other details already provided here
