Is there a doctor in the house Interpretation of disability please

Could someone please interpret the following disability

I agree with BillyH and SeaJane  - a general term that could cover everything from rheumatoid arthritis to rheumatic fever and everything in between.

The soldier in question was discharged from duty  with the above disability

and died two years later  so not likely to be the cause of death ?

Could have been, rheumatic fever can adversely affect the heart.

It could have been related, but without knowing the specifics, this is just my speculation:

Severe rheumatoid arthritis ( if that's what it was) isn't just a disease of joints, but a disease of collagen which occurs in every organ in the body-eyes, lungs, heat , kidneys, so sufferers are more at risk from a wide variety of diseases, many of which can shorten life.

Rheumatic fever (a totally unrelated condition to RA),  can result  in joint and heart damage, the latter can also prove fatal.

If you know the specifics of the cause of death, we could figure out if it was possibly related.
