Guest Posted 30 April , 2019 Share Posted 30 April , 2019 Dear all, Here at the Surrey in the Great War: A County Remembers project trench, we're in the midst of planning our finale event in July. We've booked a great WW1 military re-enactment group, but are now on the look-out for a group/individual who specialise(s) in a non-military area of WW1, eg British Red Cross. If anyone has any recommendations (and contact details) for such a group, we'd be most appreciative. I've included a flyer for the event to this post, should anyone be interested in coming along to our event: Saturday 20 July Dorking Halls, Dorking, Surrey 11am-4.30pm Free entry Thank you in advance. Ron Clifton Posted 30 April , 2019 Share Posted 30 April , 2019 Hello Imogen, and welcome to the Forum! Do you have a teaching hospital near you which is attached to a university? If so, they may have specialists in historic medical practices, and access to such items as stretchers. You could also try the National Army Museum for the same purpose. Good luck with your project. It might be worth contacting the Museum of Military Medicine at Ash Vale near Mytchett (Aldershot) to see if they can recommend anyone, since their remit includes military nursing and VADs.
