A pleasure, Arantxa.   Helps that i have access to a copy of "Indentifying Your World War 1 Soldier From Badges And Photographs"  by Iain Swinnerton.  Has good coverage of the Yeomanry and the Territorial Force Battalions too.  Otherwise,  I'd be stumped.

Hi,

Is there any chance that you could show the whole photo please? Please don't feel obliged to do so, it's no worries if you don't want to.

It's just for a badge interest, he appears to be an Officer, so I wouldn't mind seeing the collar badges etc if that's ok.

Cheers

Chris

He wears the officers' pattern cap badge so yes, he is an officer. The other ranks cap badge is of a different pattern and has a wreath surrounding the centre.  Pete.

Yes, I knew of the officers pattern badge, just wouldn't have minded seeing the whole photo, Yeomanry photos showing badges are of interest to me.

The Regiment used to have a small museum at Dalemain House,  near Penrith. https://www.dalemain.com/  I think a prevoius owner was an O.C.  - No mention of it though on the current website.  Could have gone the same way as the DLI museum.
