Gunner Hall Posted 30 April , 2019 Share Posted 30 April , 2019 A pleasure, Arantxa. Helps that i have access to a copy of "Indentifying Your World War 1 Soldier From Badges And Photographs" by Iain Swinnerton. Has good coverage of the Yeomanry and the Territorial Force Battalions too. Otherwise, I'd be stumped.

Please don't feel obliged to do so, it's no worries if you don't want to. It's just for a badge interest, he appears to be an Officer, so I wouldn't mind seeing the collar badges etc if that's ok. CorporalPunishment Posted 30 April , 2019 Share Posted 30 April , 2019 He wears the officers' pattern cap badge so yes, he is an officer. The other ranks cap badge is of a different pattern and has a wreath surrounding the centre. Pete.

Gunner Hall Posted 30 April , 2019 Share Posted 30 April , 2019 The Regiment used to have a small museum at Dalemain House, near Penrith. https://www.dalemain.com/ I think a prevoius owner was an O.C. - No mention of it though on the current website. Could have gone the same way as the DLI museum.
