Guest brian39 Posted 28 January , 2005 Share Posted 28 January , 2005 I am looking for information on my father and his WWI unit. The information I have is: Ernest James Sealy, Gunner, Regtl No. 255376 "Certificate of Records 9/5/1919" Demobilization Disccharge ZI90015 Regiment RH and RFA Enrolled 2/3/1916 Called up for Service 3/5/1916 Served overseas on Active Service EEF Taken from the back of a photograph of him and friends: "A" Battery, 264th Brigade R. F. A., 7th Division. The unit history on The Long, Long Trail website does not mention the 7th Division with regard to the 264th Brigade?? The only 7th Division I can find in EEF is an Indian Army division--could this be right?? I have looked at medal cards online and only find another E.J. Sealy who was an Engineer. No information in "burnt records" when I tried in London in 2003. These numbers and other information would seem to allow me to discover unit and some personal information? How and where? He told me many years ago that he was in hospital in Egypt for a short period. Would this be on file?
