mark holden Posted 19 April , 2019 Share Posted 19 April , 2019 (edited) I don’t believe that these are original patches. 1. Identical backing cloth on badges introduced some years apart. The RAMC badge is be pre WW1 the 55th a wartime introduced badge in fact the variant shown is a post WW1 version. 2. The badges to me seem heavily over aged typical of what I have seen on eBay applied to copy appointment and trade badges. 3. Compare the quality of the item at the link which is original with that shown in this thread. Personally I would not have either of them in my collection but I stress this is just my opinion and I am happy to be challenged and proved wrong.
