Remembered Today:

WWI portrait of Paul Schmidt: infamous H. Interpreter

Dear All,

Dr Paul-Otto Schmidt (born 1899) wrote his life story - most notably as Hitler's Interpreter during WWII - which also including his Great War service, 1917-1918 (wounded).

I am seeking a scan of a portrait Image of Schmidt in uniform, ca. 1918, which was possibly in that early book.

Latter-day reprints of Hitler's Interpreter ignore the period of Schmidt's life before the 1930s. The photos shown in these later works, confirm that Paul Schmidt had the EKII from 1914-18...

Kindest regards,

Kim.

Dear Andy,

Yes, Schmidt is exceedingly well-documented from, say, the 1920s, onwards.

Thanks as always for looking.

Kindest regards,

Kim.
