The British Military Cemetery in Jerusalem

The British Military Cemetery in Jerusalem is a impressive site in Mount Scopus. the graveston are arranged in a special way. all the graves were institute for the memomorial of the british  and Australians  soldieres who died during world war I , in the period of the british mandate in Israel.

It's one of my favourite places on earth.  And in 2008 - 2009 I ran past it almost every day on my evening run.  But I don't agree with the OP that there is anything special about the layout - apart from the fact that the majority of the Jewish burials are together in the NW corner. 

 

I was there a week ago and there is lots of work going on in front of the cemetery. To get in you need to use the gate on the eastern side.
