roselyn2 Posted 13 April , 2019 Share Posted 13 April , 2019 Bertie Barnett was with the Mercantile Marine in the 1st. World War. I was told that he was from Swansea. Is there a way that I can find out if this is correct ?. Thank you for your help. Lyn.

ernest james Posted 13 April , 2019 Share Posted 13 April , 2019 There is a CR10 record card copy for him, including a passport style photo, issued in 1918 which is on findmypast. Look under 'merchant seamen records 1918-41'. Its a pay as you go site. Next of kin is given as his mother Rose of 44 Oxford street, Swansea best wishes ernest james
