I wanted to share Steve Johnson’s wonderful website, ‘Cyberheritage’. I’ve met Steve - his aim is to share as much history as he can, with as many people as he can, free of charge. Here’s his page, ‘‘Navy and Army Military Life in 1914”:

I love those pictures! I have the edition of Navy & Army Illustrated that features RNH Stonehouse, and another with RNH Haslar.

Me too. I’ve been trying to find the location of ‘patient arriving by boat’ on Google Earth, but with no joy. The creek is now infilled - I went to school in the old Devonport Miltary Hospital building (now Devonport High School) which stabs directly opposite and across the old creek from the old RNH Stonehouse.

 

The attached is not what I’m looking for, but is intriguing nevertheless:
