2nd Dragoon Guards (Queens Bays)

A little disappointed and I wonder if i'm missing something, Ive just downloaded from the national Archives the 2nd Dragoon guards war Diaries, and it seems  that there's huge blank regarding the Bays from the day they arrived in France in August till 1915 , sadly this was the period I really wanted to read about. Is it me or are these documents not available.

Hoping for good news as im trying to trace the 12 weeks my Great Uncle lasted

Hello Chris

According to the class-index, the whole War Diary should be in file WO95/1109. If it's not all there, you could try contacting Kew to ask about it. Or, if you have access to Ancestry (e.g. via your local library) you could try them as well - although if Kew hasn't got them, I doubt that Ancestry will).

In either case, the diary may have been split into two or more parts.

Good luck!

Ron
