eisenbahn.tv Posted 9 April , 2019 Share Posted 9 April , 2019 Hello, I'm going slightly mad finding out which bridge this was. I've drawn the bridges into a map. The problem: none of them fits. All the bridges have been rebuilt besides the old bridge - not in the same position. The picture shows definitely a bridge built above the old, destroyed one. Second point: the Maas is in any postition much wider than this water.. Third point: all were made of stone, this one out of steal. Anyone a idea? Sly Posted 10 April , 2019 Share Posted 10 April , 2019 Hi Gabriel, Interesting, considering the width of the water it doesn't match with the Meuse river at Charleville. It's a bridge on a canal, that could be somewhere near Charleville or on a railway line leading to Charleville. I have just asked the question on a French railway forum. CountryJohn Posted 11 April , 2019 Share Posted 11 April , 2019 For what it's worth, there is a high resolution / zoomable copy of this image copyrighted to the Archives départmentales des Ardennes here: - http://tinyurl.com/y49fmm9x I don't know if an enquiry to them might produce some location information?
