I posted the attached Roll of Honour in ‘Cemeteries and memorials’ earlier today. But I think this sub-forum is a better place for this subsequent query: in what is the engraved figure in the top right corner engaged? Thanks for any help.

I thought that was a job for RMArty.

RMLI and RMA merged and then of course Marines manned guns on larger warships as well as providing landing parties.

I am not an expert on the RN, as everyone knows.

RMLI manned guns of the secondary armament in battleships and main armament in cruisers. RMA manned guns of the main armament in battleships.
