Skipman Posted 5 April , 2019 Share Posted 5 April , 2019 (edited) The attached is from the diary of the 34th Division, 20/7/1918 "The Machine Gun Battalion and Light Trench Mortar Batteries of the Brigades will move forward less 25% laid down in S.S.135, section XXXI. para. 3." Does anyone have the text of "S.S.135, section XXXI. para. 3." I think it is to do with leaving a number of men out of action in order to build a new unit should there be excessive casualties.
