Remembered Today:

François Georges-Picot - what uniform is he wearing?

Hello! The original photograph was taken in Jerusalem in 1917, and I'm trying - without much luck - to identify the colors of the uniform that François George-Picot is wearing, since it doesn't look French. Do you have any idea of what uniform this is and what are the original colors?

Thank you so much.

Belgian? late war. Khaki.

I second Steven’s assessment above. Typical Belgian SD modelled on the British pattern, but with distinctive Belgian, leather peaked hat.
