He was a Bombadier with the 42nd East Lancashire Div until Dec 1916 when he was commissioned. After that ..... Attached to 52nd DAC 1/07/17 Posted to B/261st brigade 28/10/17 Attached to 52nd DAC 28/10/17 Posted to No 1 Section 52nd D.AC. 01/01/18 Alli to B/261st Brigade 03/03/18 I am rather confused by this - particularly by him being posted to the 261st Brigade and Attached to the 52nd DAC on the same day. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between being posted, attached and Allied (?) to. And does this mean that, in effect he was with the 52nd DAC for this entire period (01/07/17 to 03/03/18)?
