Guest Posted 26 March , 2019 Share Posted 26 March , 2019 My father was an American who joined the French forces prior to the US entering WWI. His name was James Hezekiah Hudson, b. 1897, and he spoke little about his experiences except that he drove an ambulance until the US Army Air Corps entered the war when he became a biplane pilot. He was awarded the Croix de Guerre which we possess, but he would never discuss the circumstances for which he was awarded it. We would appreciate finding out any details available about his actions that earned him the award. Thank you in advance.
