trenchtrotter Posted 24 March , 2019 Share Posted 24 March , 2019 I have not long returned from my annual Somme trip. I used to do mini blog type updates but hey ho. But some good walks, graves and cemeteries visited and some special finds (all on the surface). I have identified the original owner of the knife, wounded at Pozieres and killed 3/5/17 at Bullecourt. Weather was trying at times. Iron harvest as prevalent as ever.

Michael Thomson Posted 24 March , 2019 Share Posted 24 March , 2019 Incredible finds. Thank you for sharing those photos. On average how long did you spend field walking to find those items?
