Just wondering GrandFather was #50 draft1917 from Halsey down camp, 1st B, R Newfoundland Reg, B.E.F. , then embarked Southampton draft #34 from 2/1st Nilda Reg to 1st Nilda Reg .SN 3276 of St Johns Newfoundland.

western front Nov ,1917, and made it into Cologne Germany with the 1st Battalion .Signed W V W , lieutenant casualty officer.

I know he was in Halsey on 22-7-18 , as well .John Joseph Johnson Royal Newfoundland Regiment .

is there a way I can find information on his path across North Sea to Germany ?

feel free to send everything or anything!

Hello Ken, I've split this into a new topic and moved it to Soldiers. I have also removed your email address from public view.

Hi,

You seem to have access to all of your mans service record. What in particular do you wish to discover that isn't in his service papers?

He wouldnt go to Germany via the North Sea as mentioned in your first post. 1st NF marched from Belgium into Germany in December 1918.

There is a wealth of information in the below link together with links to other sources.
