Prussian Cap Badge?

I found this yesterday at a thrift shop, along with some English badges. 

From a quick look on the internet it seems to be Prussian?  I quite like it.

Would it be WW1 issue or earlier?

Yes, you are correct.  It was also used without slider, and in white metal, as the collar badge of the 14th (King’s) Hussars until 1914.  The cap badge of the 14th was the same style eagle superimposed on an oval disc with the regimental title beneath: https://www.britishempire.co.uk/forces/armyunits/britishcavalry/14thhussarscapbadge.htm

Oh wow, I was way off!  That’s brilliant!

So it’s post-WW1? 

 

I don’t know anything about the Hussars so it gives me reason to have a read about them.
