John Gilinsky Posted 14 March , 2019 Share Posted 14 March , 2019 "Can Women Physicians Serve in the Army?" is a very interesting article written by Dr. Anita Newcombe McGee a prominent early American physician who wished to have many American woman doctors (thousands of American female doctors available in theory during the war) volunteer to serve the U.S. Army in particular as physicians. The National Library of Medicine (NLM) in Washington, D.C. posted the following about a year ago on this article, viz.: https://circulatingnow.nlm.nih.gov/2018/03/29/wwi-can-women-physicians-serve-in-the-army/ Here is the full original article via Haithi Trust, viz.: https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=hvd.32044103011565;view=1up;seq=34;size=
