CWGC added the following casualties to the WW1 War Dead Roll today.

 

 

GINGER, Albert Humphreys

Royal Buckinghamshire Hussars

Died 09.08.14  Age 25

Commemorated: United Kingdom of Remembrance

 

 

MORRELL, Mary Louise

Staff Nurse

Queen Alexandra’s Imperial Military Nursing Service

Died 18.08.19  Age 29

Commemorated: United Kingdom of Remembrance

 

 

WHITING, Frederick William

Sapper  6714

Royal Engineers

Died 13.10.17  Age 30

Commemorated: United Kingdom of Remembrance

 

 

 

NOT FORGOTTEN

 

 

The above were In From the Cold Project cases.

- Pte Ginger committed suicide by cutting his throat (Volunteer: Jon Walters)

- S/Nurse Morrell died post discharge of tuberculosis (Volunteer: Chris Harley)

- Spr Whiting died post discharge of heart disease (Volunteer: Barry Hillier)

Commemoration  moved to Holyhead (Maeshyfryd) Burial Board Cemetery. He is to receive a CWGC headstone.
