Aled Posted 12 February , 2019 Share Posted 12 February , 2019 Can anyone help with identifying my relative's unit from the attached Medal Roll? He is Capt Arthur Knight James and his unit shown as: S.A.P.C.4th K.A.R. Apart from being awarded the British War and Victory Medal, is there any useful information to be gleaned from the handwritten notes alongside? Any pointers would be appreciated. Aled Posted 12 February , 2019 Author Share Posted 12 February , 2019 Hi David, Thank you for your prompt reply and the directions for further research. Being new to this, I'm not sure I'm in the right place to ask but here goes anyway: Do you know whether each KAR unit had its dedicated SAPC Officers and what exactly was their function? He is shown here as being in 4 KAR but he is recorded in the Army List as being in 5 KAR in 1917. Apologies if I've transgressed the rules.
