NigelS Posted 13 February , 2019 Share Posted 13 February , 2019 I re-watched this series a few months ago on iPlayer. In the final episode Michael Portillo concludes by summarising the series in a sequence - part of which appears in most episodes - filmed in one of the cloisters at the Menin Gate. I hadn't spotted it the first time I watched but this time round, noticing where he was standing and seeing 'London Rifle' behind him, I had a bit of a 'wow' moment when I realised he was standing in front of the panel on which my Grandfather is commemorated and, even more remarkably, his name could actually be read! After a bit of back and forwarding Definitely one for the family archive. NigelS
