Sgt Stripes Posted 4 February , 2019 Share Posted 4 February , 2019 Hi. I was looking through the Commonwealth war graves register for the Plovdiv War Cemetery in Bulgaria and saw the name Flt Lieut Charles William Greig RNAS died 12 September 1918 and I was wondering he must have been taken POW but how and where. Does anyone have any information on how he was taken prisoner. Many Thanks

Sgt Stripes Posted 4 February , 2019 Author Share Posted 4 February , 2019 Many Thanks Sea Jane for the fast reply. That is the first time I have heard of a POW shot while trying to escape from a Bulgarian POW camp.
