Guest Posted 1 February , 2019 Share Posted 1 February , 2019 Hello all, I am looking for any information on my great grandfather Lubben Rosenboom. Born 1880. All I know of his military career is that he was with the German Imperial Army. I have these two pictures of him in uniform. I do not know the dates he served. Someone mentioned the helmet looks to belong to a Saxon Grenadier regiment. I am not sure which one, but I do know he was from Schirum, Aurich, Germany. Thank you in advance. bierast Posted 14 March , 2019 Share Posted 14 March , 2019 Definitely a Prussian Garde star rather than a Saxon one - you can just about see parts of the eagle plate underneath.
