LYSAGHT, Percy Joseph Sergeant 1878 5th South African Mounted Rifles Died 20.10.16 Commemorated: South African Book of Remembrance MGUDLWA, Abel Native Constable 4000 1st South African Mounted Rifles Died 23.07.19 Commemorated: South African Book of Remembrance SOMMERS, John William Ordinary Seaman J/44808 Royal Navy, HMS Vivid I Died 08.07.19 Age 19 Commemorated: United Kingdom Book of Remembrance VILJOEN, Christian Rifleman 5773 3rd South African Mounted Rifles Died 29.10.17 Commemorated: South African Book of Remembrance NOT FORGOTTEN The above above were In From the Cold Project cases. - Sgt Lysaght died of heart disease (Volunteer: Terry Cawood) - Constable Mgudlwa died of unspecified illness (Volunteer: Terry Cawood) - OS Sommers died post-discharge of tuberculosis (Volunteer: Steve John) - Rfn Viljoen drowned trying to cross the Umlaas River (Volunteer: Terry Cawood) Edited 30 January , 2019 by Terry Denham Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
