PeteD42 Posted 23 January , 2019 Share Posted 23 January , 2019 Attached are a couple of photos from friends of mine. The group photo is of SPA(?) 26th Tent Detachment RAF 1919. One of the men in the front row is marked but we don't know who he is. The other photo is probably of the same group as the postcard printing on the backs is identical. Can anyone please help with any further info on this detachment & any possible location of the photos?
Admin DavidOwen Posted 23 January , 2019 Admin Share Posted 23 January , 2019 The detachment was disbanded in or around September 1919 http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C4085427 so presumably it may have been a "farewell" photo? nils d Posted 25 January , 2019 Share Posted 25 January , 2019 Top photo 4th from the left is a very young recruit ! Lower; again 4th in [lower] looks to be ,by the uniform, a member of the Chinese Labour Corps. You can easily spot the officer in this pic!
