Lionel Splotz Posted 20 January , 2019 Posted 20 January , 2019 I have just started to research a soldier who was in the HAC in 1917 (returned to UK wounded in Oct) I am struggling to understand the nomenclature: he was in 7th Division 2/1 what does 2/1 mean? I would be really grateful if someone could give me some direction on this and I know I it is a really basic question so apologies but I am new to all of this Lionel

Most territorial battalions did the same. Craig
