#3671 Simmons would have enlisted between 16 and 19 Jan 1915 by my records - my record are mainly intended for 6th DLI but I have picked up 8th DLI stuff along the way.

Commissioned E Yorks Regt, according to MIC, 11/1/18. Not sure that is correct looking at LG - possibly commissioned earlier.  https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/30461/supplement/423 indicates 18/12/17

Relinquished commissioned 30/9/21 - still with E Yorks.

Applied for his medals in 1921. Address then Bentley, Doncaster
