Remembered Today:

2110 Pte. A.W. Tripp, RAMC 3/2 Field Ambulance

I recently acquired a copy of the book  "Royal Army Medical Corps Training 1911", printed March 1915. Inscribed inside is what I read as the following:

Private A. W. Tripp

No. 2110. 3/2 South Midlands Mounted Brigade Field Ambulance

R.A.M.C.T.

Great Missenden

Buckinghamshire

Enlisted June 8th 1915.

I am struggling to get anywhere with these details however. I can find a MIC for a Private Arthur W. Tripp of the RAMC:

http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/D5622040

Entitled to a BWM and VM only, but with the different number listed of 89546. I haven't been able to find a surviving service record for this man with this number, nor anything remotely matching under 2110, so if it is indeed the same person I cannot tie them together at present, or show they are different people. Births records a number of potential candidates for both AW Tripp and Arthur W Tripp.

Can anyone help, or add to the story? Particularly, are 2110 and 89546 one and the same, or two different people?
