AM87 Posted 16 January , 2019 Share Posted 16 January , 2019 HI I have been investigating (with help from forum members) the Military Cross won by A/Capt W M Penny RAMC. He was gazetted as being part of 64th (E Lancs) Fd Amb on 30 May 19. I would appreciate some help as i am hitting a brick wall. 1. Where would I need to look for a copy of his citation? 2. He is listed as having MD after his name, what does this mean? Anything else that forum members could add would be appreciated.

Terry_Reeves Posted 16 January , 2019 Share Posted 16 January , 2019 (edited) MD stands for Doctor of Medicine. The MC award appeared in the New Years Honours list for 1919 - there were no citations for these awards. In effect they were for good service over a particular period. HarryBrook Posted 16 January , 2019 Share Posted 16 January , 2019 As noted in post #12 of the original topic of Monday, the M.C. award was a King's Birthday Honours list award, no published citation available.
