Guest Posted 10 January , 2019 Posted 10 January , 2019 Hi, I’m just wondering if anyone has ever come across a bugle which was made by A S Vaissiere , or was at least stamped with the name Vaissiere on it? My Great Uncle made bugles during ww1 and when my Grandfather Alfred Vaissiere signed up to fight in 1916, he was making thenbugles at his uncles factory, my Grandad went on to fight in France and was captured but the Germans and was a POW for a year in Germany before he managed to escape somehow. grandad didn’t speak about his time, but looking his history up , we found that on his enlistment papers he was already working as a bugle maker during 1916. Ever since I found out , I’ve been trying to find something with the family name on. Thank you
