Hi All, can anyone help with deciphering this word listed as the soldiers Disability please?

Agreed.

It's a strange "D", but the rest of the word seems pretty clear.

Agreed and I have seen it written like that on another Pension Ledger entry - the same clerk perhaps?

Yes, Deafness.

Some of these clerks really have appalling handwriting.

Thanks so much for your help. I did guess Deafness but as you pointed out the D wasn't defined enough so that I doubted it might be a W or an L.
