Guest Posted 9 January , 2019 Share Posted 9 January , 2019 I'm researching miners from Nottinghamshire who served in the RE Tunnelling Companies in the Great War. Any information will be welcomed, and specifically anything relating to Hill 60, and the 'Hill 60 Club' at Kirkby-in-Ashfield. I've already tried the major websites, but I believe there is more information out there.
Moonraker Posted 9 January , 2019 Share Posted 9 January , 2019 (edited) Welcome, Mike. Regarding "Hill 60", searching for it here in the GWF produces six pages of hits, which you may already have consulted. Our search engine is a little clunky, and some of us prefer to Google. Doing so for nottinghamshire tunneling companies www.greatwarforum.org will lead to other threads. brianmorris547 Posted 10 January , 2019 Share Posted 10 January , 2019 Mike Welcome Last year at Kew I read the 1916 and some 1917 RE TC WDs and made a note of other ranks names. Are you looking for anyone in particular. Brian
