Karl Price Posted 8 January , 2019 Share Posted 8 January , 2019 Can anyone help me identify which of the Namur Forts this relates to please? In a letter from 1978 my great grandfather recounts being held as a prisoner after the Third Battle of Aisne in 1918 at Fort Number 5 at Namur. It had previously held Russian POWs and then he and others were moved there. He was never recorded as a POW because this was an unofficial camp used to hold soldiers pressed into work gangs and the Red Cross were never notified. I can't find any record on the internet of the forts being used in this way. Thanks in advance Karl
