Guest Posted 5 January , 2019 Posted 5 January , 2019 My Great Uncle James O'Reilly NZ Rifle Brigade was captured on the 5 March 1918 at Ligny Forme on the Western Front. His New Zealand number was 54580 His paperwork says he was at D Komp. I can find no POW number. He died in 1956 and is buried in the Waverley Cemetery, Taranaki NZ. I never knew him and I never knew that he had been away to WWI along with his brother Frank, both survived although James was captured. Any info on the Camp would be appreciated he was there for such a short time. My own father was a POW in WWII he seldom talked about it either. In fact very little information on him. Cheers - Nick
Jacorb Posted 6 January , 2019 Posted 6 January , 2019 (edited) Hi Nick, I am currently trying to find any info on him, one question, where did you get the info on his camp? Edited 6 January , 2019 by Jacorb
Mark1959 Posted 6 January , 2019 Posted 6 January , 2019 (edited) 5th down this page https://grandeguerre.icrc.org/en/List/624186/698/32609/ from Red Cross web site. This record gives date of capture as 5/4/18. Says D Komp on Index Card. Edited 7 January , 2019 by Mark1959
