William John SIGOURNEY 10526 18th Hussars

I have a soldier which under cause of discharge it reads "Section B.A.R."

(where others have the usual KR Para 392 etc)

But also on the same page under Transfer to or from Regiment or Corps and date Also It reads various stints in the 18th & 10th Hussars, then Sect: B.A.R. 15th Jun 1920

Anyone know what B.A.R. refers to ?

Transfer to Section B, Army Reserve.  He was mobilised in April 1921 as part of the Defence Force, returned to Section B in June 1921 then re-enlisted into the Tank Corps in 1925 eventually being discharged in 1929.

Many thanks, I confess i didn't check the whole record, this was for someone else and I was to concentrated on the B.A.R. part which I suspected was Army Reserve but wanted to be sure

Much appreciated I shall report back to the enquirer
