Your conclusion elsewhere that the KRRC SN of 8377 shown on both John Ward's medal index card and the MGC medal roll cannot be correct as it was actually issued to R/8377 Rfn Dobson aka Woodhouse is completely incorrect.

 

8377 and R/8377 are different numbers in the KRRC schema and equally valid.
