Chasemuseum Posted 13 December , 2018 Share Posted 13 December , 2018 The oval shaped hole in the top is ventilator, and from the rivets it was originally fitted with a comb (like an Adrian). The one piece construction, the chin strap attachments and the shape are all 1930s - end WW2. Possibly a variation of European fire department or air raid wardens helmet, many of these were fitted with combs. Definitely not WW1. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
