Steve11148 Posted 7 December , 2018 Share Posted 7 December , 2018 I've looked everywhere ( I think! ) but haven't found the answer. Would a member of the 88th Machine Gun Company have also worn the 29th Division insignia on each arm above the MG Company insignia? So the red triangular patch above the company's blue rectangle with red cross? Or just their own insignia (88th Coy)? Thanks, Steve
Mike_H Posted 8 December , 2018 Share Posted 8 December , 2018 Steve The practice in the infantry battalions and the other two MG companies of the 29th Division was to wear the unit i/d sign on the back just below the collar and the div sign on both sleeves, so I would think that the 88th followed this practice although I do not have documentary or photo evidence of this.
