Several points, 1) it is hard to comment purely from photos that do not show any markings. Presumably it should at least carry a maker’s mark, although S&R do not show such and do not comment on that, merely referring to the B’ham trade; so maybe not. 2) In my limited collecting experience, this is the first one that I have seen for sale. 3) Can’t see it being a fake. I was bidding but sadly it went for a reasonable ??Hammer £170 , bearing in mind it’s scarcity, but above my budget ☹️ Dave mentioned seeing only one for sale previously and that was I believe around £600.
